Malone Golf Club

Malone Golf Club is situated just 5 miles from Belfast City centre. Founded in 1895 the course is steeped in a rich heritage. The course is used by Queen's University and the connection between Malone and Queen's University has been in place since 1907 when the University applied for membership to the GUI and required a course to play on. There are 27 holes at Malone, the Drumbridge, Ballydrain, and the Edenderry make up the three 9's. The championship course is a classic parkland with trees shaping many of the holes and the 27-acre Ballydrain lake is a dominating feature of the back 9. The signature hole is the short par-3 15th. A devastatingly tricky tee shot over water all the way to an undulating green where it doesn't take much to go wrong after hitting the short stuff from the tee. Just take a quick look to your left. This hole will keep you on your toes.
