Junior Golf Academies

Throughout the year we host multiple golf academies across Europe during the golf off-season. In April 2018 we are hosting two 7 day back to back camps in the beautiful resort of La Manga in Murcia in the South of Spain. This will be followed up by some summer academies throughout Ireland and some October academies in La Manga once again. The intent of the Easter academy is to prepare the kids for the season ahead and where better to do that than in a warm weather climate. The October academy follows a similar pattern to that of the Easter one but the intent is to give the kids something to work on over the offseason in preparation for the year ahead. The summer academy allows the kids to implement the changes that they have been working on in practice and to bring it to the golf course under the supervision of our instructors who will be on hand at all times to better enable the progress of each of the kids. This academy is golf focussed but as this academy takes place within the school academic year we will be providing optional classes for the kids if requested by the parents. These classes will be predominantly language based i.e. English as a foreign language or English for state exams. If the parents do not wish for their child to take part in these classes there is absolutely no issue with this and the child will be given either some additional study time or free time depending on the day. As well as golf lessons we will be guiding the kids through the importance of flexibility and nutrition for golf. Both aspects can be overlooked by even the best golfers and junior golfers tend to take both for granted. As a result, our coaches will be guiding the kids through some flexibility and nutrition coaching for the golf course. This will better enable the kids to make that next step in their game. Summer

This academy will be based in Letterkenny in Co. Donegal and Galway city in Co. Galway. These academies will feature some of the best courses Ireland has to offer and will include some sightseeing tours around the North and West coasts of Ireland. This academy is all about fun for the kids. It will be golf and fun focussed, but there is the option of some formal education classes if requested. The kids will spend time exploring Ireland both from the golf course and from the more traditional tourist way by sightseeing. They will be introduced to some Irish culture through sports such as Gaelic Football and Hurling and will take in some of the beautiful Irish landscape with walking and hiking tours. October

Venue of the Curran Golf Academies at Easter. Then we next head back to La Manga (subject to change) for our October warm weather academy. This academy tends to be a little more intense from the golfing perspective as it is an excellent opportunity for the kids and our coaches to work on some issues the kids encountered throughout the previous years season. With the golfing season winding down and winter only around the corner the timing of this academy couldn't be better. The students will have many months in which to work on the changes/improvements implemented throughout this camp and with the Easter academy coming in time for the following season they should be well geared up by the time the 2019 season kicks off.
